BEFORE YOU FILL OUT THE APPLICATION, PLEASE READ. 

Please remember that our adoption applications are processed in the order received. Include your full name and address on the application. 

 

The steps for our out of State adoptions are:

 

1) Application

2) Reference checks (veterinary and personal)to include background and criminal checks;  renters need to provide a letter from their landlord that they can have the pet they are wishing to adopt.

3) Submit photos of your home (living area, yard, and front of the home).  If you live in an apartment, we need pics of the front of your building.  We can connect you with the Texas foster after your application is approved, so that you can ask any questions you may have – some will even do a “meet and greet” through Skype, FaceTime or FB video messenger. 

4) Approval, Adoption/Transport Fee paid (signed contract will occur at this point) - also need a letter from landlord, if renting, that your pet deposit is paid. 

5) Transport (we will provide you with your transporter's name and phone number, as well as keep in contact with you through the transport - the transporter will choose a local place, usually along the I5 corridor, to meet and pick up your new family member.  Until transport occurs, we will still be your point of contact. 

ALLOW YOURSELF AT LEAST 15-20 MINUTES TO FILL OUT THE APPLICATION. It cannot be saved and worked on later.
